A General Membership Meeting of the Flanders, Northampton and Riverside
Community Association (FRNCA) was held on October 28, 2002, at the
Flanders Nutrition Center.
Since approximately 35 people were in attendance, a quorum was declared and David Brewer called the meeting to order at about 7:15 p.m. The minutes were read and approved from the previous general meeting. The important business of the meeting included amending the bylaws. After an explanation by the vice president and some discussion, the bylaw changes that would reassign some duties of the Treasurer and Administrator were passed. After soliciting any objections from the floor (there were none), the president also appointed Tom Weber, who has been acting as Sargeant of Arms, to the Executive Board. Michael Brewer displayed proposed designs for t-shirts that members of the Beautification Committee would wear. There was some discussion over use of the Big Duck. New member and attorney Lynne Gordon volunteered to look into the issue. There was also some discussion over code enforcement issues, including overnight parking. The meeting then proceeded with our Meet the Candidates Night. Lorna Salzman and Fred Havemeyer made individual presentations, including answering questions from the audience. The meeting was adjourned at about 9 p.m. |
